How to Receive
All 501(c)(3) nonprofits are invited to join the eAngel community in geographic areas where we are active. You first have to tell us what you need and then we can notify you by email what is available on a first-come first-served basis.
Simply complete registration, download a copy of your 501(c)(3) tax exemption letter, and complete a wish list. eAngel will then match available non-cash donations with your wish list needs as they become available, and provide notification by email. It is the responsibility of the nonprofit to indicate acceptance of the donation through reply email on a first come first served basis. Once a donation has been excepted by a nonprofit and confirmed by email, eAngel will acknowledge to the donor by email that assignment is complete.
The nonprofit will be authorized by email to contact the donor directly and arrange for the donation pick up. There may be exceptions to this when donors are willing to assist in the delivery process. In most all cases when a nonprofit does provide pick up, we ask that the donor allow at least two weeks from the time of gift assignment, unless more time is allowed.
Upon receiving a donation each nonprofit is responsible for providing a gift acknowledgment, or thank you letter, on organizational letter head within one week after pick up. It is the responsibility of all donors to determine approximate value of each donation and to consult a professional tax advisor as needed. Nonprofits are responsible for providing a gift receipt and donation pick up unless delivery is offered by a donor. eAngel’s objective and responsibility is to match non-cash donations with nonprofit wish list needs.
Donations to nonprofits are not allowed to be used for fundraisers, raffles or auctions, volunteers or staff members, or sold in retail stores, websites, flea markets, or through any other outlet.
